RASTAW GRAINY FINISH is a beige coloured breathable hydraulic lime render with a textured grain finish. It is ideal for buildings of a historic nature or in conservation areas. It can be used both internally and externally to achieve a beautiful traditional finish.
All surfaces should be clean, dry and dust free. Any surface contaminants like grease, oil and efflorescence must be removed in order to promote adhesion.
RASTAW GRAINY FINISH is a two coat system so it must be applied in two coats each with a depth of 2-3mm. RASTAW GRAINY FINISH should be mixed with a mechanical paddle mixer to achieve a smooth and lump free consistency. Mix in a clean bucket using approximately 6-7 litres of clean water per 25Kg bag. Allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes and then re-mix thoroughly before application. Wet the substrate first to aid adhesion and apply a second coat of no more than 3mm and finish off with a sponged trowel to achieve a fine grain finish.
