Silicate Cover

SILICATE COVER is a ready mixed UV resistant silicate render. Due to its unique formula it repels water and dirt while being extremely flexible. SILICATE COVER is easy to apply and comes in two granular sizes, 1.2mm and 1.5mm and is available in over 300 colours. SILICATE COVER is DIN 18363 certified.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces should be sound, dust free and clear of any surface contaminants like oil, grease or salt efflorescence.

 

Application

All surfaces must be treated with SILICATE PRIMER, allow to cure for 12 hours. Apply Silicate cover evenly over the primed substrate with a steel trowel. As the product starts to cure use a plastic trowel in a circular motion to achieve a uniform textured finish. Clean all tools thoroughly and protect the finish from rainfall for 48 hours.

 

Recommendations

Do not use SILICATE COVER:

  • At temperatures below +8°C or above +35°C
  • On sunny or cold surfaces
  • When rain is forecast, high humidity or during strong winds

Packaging & Storage

SILICATE COVER is supplied in 25Kg buckets and can be stored in a cool dry place, in its original unopened packaging
