RAMOD MOULDING PLASTER is a premixed lime based moulding plaster that can be used both internally and externally. It is specifically formulated with fibres and special additives to make it a strong low shrinkage material, perfect for repairing stone cornices, capitals, columns or any other stone profiles. It conforms to the European standard UNI EN 998-1 making it ideal for the restoration of historical buildings in conservation areas. It is light brown in colour but other shades are available on request.
All stone surfaces should be clean, dry and dust free. Any surface contaminants like grease, oil and efflorescence must be removed in order to promote adhesion.
RAMOD MOULDING PLASTER should be mixed with a mechanical paddle mixer to achieve a smooth lump free consistency. Mix in a clean bucket using approximately 6 litres of clean water per 25kg bag. Allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes and then re-mix thoroughly before application. Wet the substrate first to aid adhesion and apply with a metal or stainless steel trowel to a thickness of no more than 20mm. When additional coats are required to build up a profile do not allow the base coat to dry completely before applying further coats, this aids adhesion.
