A Month of Strength, Equality, and Change

March is a month of transformation. As winter fades and the first signs of spring emerge, the world around us begins to renew, grow, and strengthen. It is also a time of reflection and action—a month when we celebrate International Women’s Day and recognise the struggles, achievements, and resilience of women across the world.

That is why The Women’s Rights Foundation Malta is the perfect organisation to feature in March as part of the Colours of Malta 2025 Calendar. Just as this month represents new beginnings and empowerment, WRF is dedicated to advocating for gender equality, defending women’s rights, and supporting survivors of domestic violence and discrimination.

Championing Women’s Rights in Malta
Equality is more than just a concept—it is a fundamental human right. Yet, for many women, achieving it remains an uphill battle. From domestic violence and workplace discrimination to barriers in healthcare and legal protection, women across Malta still face challenges that demand attention and change.

The Women’s Rights Foundation stands at the forefront of this fight, offering:

💜 Legal Assistance – Providing legal aid and representation to women facing domestic abuse, workplace injustice, and gender-based violence.
💜 Advocacy & Policy Change – Pushing for stronger laws and policies that protect women’s rights and promote gender equality.
💜 Support Networks – Creating safe spaces for survivors to heal, share their experiences, and rebuild their lives.
💜 Education & Awareness – Hosting workshops, training sessions, and campaigns to shift cultural mindsets and empower women to know their rights.

The Colour of Strength and Justice
Each month in the Colours of Malta Calendar is represented by a colour that reflects the essence of the featured foundation. March’s colour is purple—a shade long associated with justice, dignity, and the women’s rights movement.

Purple represents courage, resilience, and the ongoing struggle for equality. It is the colour of solidarity among women, of strength in the face of adversity, and of the unwavering belief that every woman deserves safety, respect, and opportunity.
