As Pink October draws to a close, the skies above the historic Citadel in Victoria, Gozo, glowed softly in pink last night — a symbol of unity, hope, and compassion. The event, Light It Up Gozo, organised by The Marigold Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo, marked a touching moment in this year’s Pink October campaign.
Among the attendees were the RA & Sons ladies, who proudly stood in solidarity with countless others dedicated to raising awareness for cancer prevention and support. The evening brought together voices of strength and inspiration, with heartfelt addresses from Ms Michelle Muscat, Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, and Monsignor Joe Vella. Each spoke about the ongoing commitment to cancer awareness across all types, the importance of early detection, and the collaborative efforts driving real change across the islands.
This year’s campaign carries an especially meaningful purpose. Proceeds from Pink October 2025 will fund the first-ever Cancer Community Outreach Project in Gozo — a milestone initiative developed in collaboration with the Gozo General Hospital. Through a new mobile oncology unit, this project will bring essential cancer care and support services directly to the Gozitan community, ensuring that patients and families can access vital treatment and guidance closer to home.
For the RA team, it was both a privilege and a reminder of why their Colours of Malta initiative exists to inspire action, celebrate compassion, and make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
